Blum Selected for Renovations of Davis Residence Hall at Wake Forest University

Wake Forest University recently selected Frank L. Blum Construction Company to renovate Davis Residence Hall on their Reynolda Campus. Constructed in 1953, Davis Hall is located on Hearn Plaza, a historic quad at the center of the Wake Forest University campus, and was constructed in 1953. The renovation designed by Virginia-Based Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas + Company, the renovation will include approximately 70,729 square feet on four occupied levels with a mechanical basement. Student rooms are located on all four levels, and are accessed by open exterior balcony walkways on three sides of a central courtyard, which connects to four open stairs in each corner. The renovation will house 293 students and RA's in a variety of suite style units ranging from five to nine students in traditional single and double occupancy bedrooms. The project will be completed in two phases over the summers of 2017 and 2018.
