OSHA Chooses Blum Construction for On Site Training
May 14, 2019
Blum Construction was proud to welcome OSHA participants to our jobsite today to learn about safety in the workplace. Approximately 40 OSHA participants joined Blum Crews to review the site of Woodlands Apartments, a new 145,500-square-foot facility that will bring another exciting independent living option to the Salemtowne campus. The project consists of two buildings, referred to as villas, with four floors totaling 56 residences. Six spacious floor plans will allow residents to maintain their independent lifestyles while enjoying the many services and amenities Salemtowne offers. Located beside Wachovia Village, The Woodlands are a short walk to the elegant Dorcas Dining Room, Fitness Center, and numerous other campus amenities. The villas are a new concept which will allow residents maximum space and convenience while maintaining a small environmental footprint with lower-level parking. The buildings have been incorporated into the natural wooded setting and will provide light-filled rooms and a private, relaxing patio, or balcony for each new residence for bird watching or wildlife spotting. "Our longstanding relationship with OSHA - paired with transparency on our job sites - made Blum Construction the right choice for OSHA's training," said Mark Ford of Blum Construction. Blum's Crews, led by our Safety Manager and General Superintendent, escorted the OSHA trainees throughout the site pointing out implementation of different safety measures and providing an opportunity for the participants to see their subject matter up close. One of Blum's core values is Safety in the Workplace, so it was an honor to host the training and answer questions in our continued effort to provide unparalleled service on and off the jobsite.
