Architectural Woodworking Institute Honors Forsyth Country Club Members' And Family Grill Project with Award of Excellence

November 5, 2014

Millwork contractor: Rowland Woodworking, Inc., High Point, NC

General contractor: Frank L. Blum Construction Co., Winston-Salem, NC

Architect: Walter Robbs Architects, Winston-Salem, NC

When Club members agreed to renovate the dining areas and bar, they commissioned Walter Robbs Architects to produce a design that maintained a rich and formal look in the dining area, keeping within the existing Neo-classical Georgian architecture. Thus architectural woodwork became an important element of the renovation. The project consisted of the renovation of two existing dining areas and a 1,300 square foot addition to the building for the new bar. The project began in June 2013 and ended in April of 2014.
