Blum Makes Splash With New Greensboro Office

September 11, 2015

As many of you know, we believe we have established ourselves as the “local hero” in the Winston-Salem construction market. You also know that it has taken a lot of hard work and perseverance for decades to achieve this status. It is now time to expand that envied status to the broader Triad community, and in particular, Guilford County. With our Core Values continuing to be our driving force, the next step in that pursuit has been to open a branch office in Greensboro.

“We chose to locate downtown because we see the revitalization occurring in the city center and want to be a part of that excitement and energy,” said Mark Dunnagan, vice president of project development. “We are currently involved in several landmark projects in Greensboro, and this move cements our commitment to becoming a trusted local building partner for those looking for an exceptional construction experience in the Greensboro market.”

While on a smaller scale, the new office offers a more urban presence for the company. Josh Cook, Ron Blake, Vernon Honeycutt, and Eddie Marcellino did a great job preparing the space for occupancy. The marketing team has added life-sized action shots and historical photos that both look to our exciting future and celebrate our storied past. The Greensboro skyline covers an entire wall in the lobby, and the glorious rose stained glass window from First Presbyterian Church is featured above the refreshment area. With exposed beams, piping, and ducts the office has a fun and industrial feel which inspires and energizes the Greensboro team.

Mike Powers, a Greensboro resident, is the natural choice for leading the team. Josh Cook, Eddie Marcellino, and John Turner are all using the office as headquarters on the LeBauer Park and Lincoln Financial Group projects. The glue was finally put in place last week when Paige Anderson joined the team. With Carolyn Caudle’s many training hours and help stocking the office with supplies, the operation of the new space is in full swing.

Many thanks to all who had a hand in putting the Greensboro office in place, and best wishes for continued growth and success for the entire Blum Family. The new office is located at 203 S. Church Street, so feel free to stop by and check out the latest Blum addition.
