Kay Chemical Selects Blum for Office Expansion and Renovations

April 1, 2015

Kay Chemical Company, a subsidiary of ECOLAB, recently selected Frank L. Blum Construction Company as the construction manager for the expansion and renovation of its Greensboro offices. The expansion will help the company capitalize on demand from the quick-service restaurant industry and Kay's growing retail food services division, which focuses on supplying products to grocery stores and supermarkets.

Forty-five new jobs will be added over the next three years. Designed by Greensboro-based Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates, the project consists of a new 37,500-square-foot office building addition, renovations to 37,000 square feet of existing office space, expansion of current parking, and new entrance drives for trucks and employees.

The project will be constructed in three phases, with the first starting in the spring of 2015. Construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2016.
