Wake Forest University Kitchin Hall Phase 1

Frank L. Blum Construction Company completed Phase 1 of the Kitchin Hall Renovation project for Wake Forest University in August, delivering 277 student beds. The 66,830 square-foot, four-story building was constructed in 1953 as part of the original campus. The first phase of the renovation included replacing the major systems of the building, remediating the exterior envelope as required, installation of an elevator and other ADA upgrades, and the reconfiguration of some student rooms. The upgrades were designed by Norfolk, VA based Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas + Company.
