ARTivity On The Green

The AFAS Group dreamed of building a one-of-a-kind urban park to highlight the Arts and Innovation which Winston-Salem, NC is known for, and they turned to Blum Construction to realize that dream. The half-acre park consists of a thirteen mast, forty-five foot tall central water feature that emits fog, hearkening back to the smoke stacks of Winston’s industrial past; a performance shell for public performances consisting of seven steel ribbons, which had to be rolled in Chicago; a constantly-changing mural wall that allows local artists to practice their craft, and four steel archways that provide locations for ever-changing sculpture displays.
