Wellness Center The Village at Brookwood Retirement Community

Frank L. Blum Construction Company built the Aquatic and Fitness Center on the bustling campus of The Village at Brookwood retirement community.

Construction for the 8,500 square-foot building was at the main entrance to the community, necessitating that the contractor and all subcontractors be especially mindful of maintaining a clean construction site. In addition, the material staging area was across a busy street, which made safety of workers and traffic a major concern.

Challenges included anticipation and control of surface water drainage and minimizing the accumulation of silt in the community’s pond. Safety of residents as they monitored the building’s progress was of primary importance.
