Ronald McDonald House

Frank L. Blum Construction Co. was chosen to build the 16,055 square-foot addition to the existing Ronald McDonald House, increasing available rooms by 20 and adding common areas that include a large kitchen and high-volume laundry facility, in addition to a reception area and living room.

Challenges included maintaining a safe, live construction site adjacent to a home filled with families who are often new and are not familiar with safety precautions. The site is on an extremely heavily-traveled (vehicular and pedestrian) neighborhood requiring attention to equipment movement, material storage, and worker behavior.
